“I agree the Pope’s reaction in slapping at the woman was odd and petulant.”

What she did is was a security nightmare for the Pope’s security detail.

I am sure that Francis remembers or has been told about Kim Il Jun’s brother who was killed by women who smeared a toxic nerve agent on him. That was what I thought about when she grabbed him. Its probably something thinks about when he goes out to walk along the rope barrier. Might explain his reaction to her unexpected lunge and hand grab.

You are right, of course. She could have applied a nerve agent on him. Good reminder!

His security seemed slow-witted.

One would think he’d be a bit more comfortable with accepting God’s will/death.
