I've had real bad vibes about the NYSlimes (as well as WaPo) ever since....well, considerably before I joined the Navy.
Part of it was my Dad's seldom-spoken but EXTREMELY low opinion of media in general after serving with Patton.....
Only thing the media's done since has validated those bad attitudes. And more.
I don't really count most of the media as a functionally positive member of the human race, let alone the Country.
