I cheated. Rather than making cabbage rolls, I chopped up cabbage, lined the bottom of a roasting pan, then piled the guts on top (ground beef, rice, carrots, celery, onion, garlic, spices), then another layer of chopped cabbage. Covered with tomato juice and put it in the oven for 4 hours. JUST LIKE CABBAGE ROLLS! Easy peasy, lemon squeezy!
