the team is owned by the city, is the foundation also owned by the city? if so, there’s your answer.

Maybe some team owner’s ‘niece’ who ‘wound up’ pregnant convinced this decision maker to support easy abortion.
That is often the way it works.

Does Green Bay vote Democrat?

Does the city of Green Bay own the Packers? I had heard they were a corporate entity owned by shareholders. I’ve also heard that somehow their corporation is set up to benefit an American Legion post, if the Packers are ever sold or go out of business.

To me, the Occam’s razor answer is the same for this and Chick-Fil-A. The person put in charge of the disbursements comes from a background and perspective that is utterly tone deaf to both Christians and Pro-lifers. In the case of Chick-Fil-A, it is complicated by their interest in expanding into other countries and cities in pro-abort/pervert areas.

Does the city of Green Bay own the Packers?

No. The Green Bay Packers are owned by the fans who purchased shares in the team. There are literally tens of thousands of shareholders.

“Does the city of Green Bay own the Packers? I had heard they were a corporate entity owned by shareholders. “

Right at this moment, the Packers fighting it out with Detroit, but I suspect some cheesehead could come along and clear the question up after the game.

Why did the Green Bay Packers Foundation donate to Planned Parenthood?

You can't donate to Planned Parenthood unless you are a proud liberal. One thing that proud liberals have in common: Every live birth is a cosmic failure.

"Planned Parenthood" is oxymoronic like UN Peacekeeper and liberal intellectual.

Yep. Same way many people suddenly become supportive of homosexuals, they always have a family member who is a homo, then suddenly they become “enlightened”. In truth, darkened.

I’m guessing they gave to PP because they think they have too many fans, and want to reduce the number.

Actually the Green Bay Packers are NOT owned by the city. The team IS owned by Shareholders. I am one.

And I am NOT happy that my team has donated one red cent to Baby Killers R Us.

Packers won 23 - 20.

They gave Detroit every possible opportunity to win, but the Lions weren’t buying.

“The Packers Foundation told the Green Bay Press Gazette that the grant is for one specific Planned Parenthood program, and was not a blanket donation or endorsement of Planned Parenthood’s other programs.”

The shareholders need to advise the Packers Foundation to hire a director who understands the meaning of the word “fungible”.

No problem.

Green Bay is a unique team with a fabulous history. When the old AFL and NFL merged, the Green Bay model was grandfathered into the new league but with the provision that no other franchise could be community (fans) owned. Shares are passed on from family member to family member and there have only been 5 share offerings over the life time of the team, the last being in 2011.
