Well, they can say whatever they want, can’t they. If the Senate chooses to confirm judicial nominees, the House has no say.

The Delusional Lying Leftists will not rest until they achieve their ultimate goal: Global Governmental Totalitarianism (morphing quickly into Worldwide Islamic Supremacy).

It will happen - soon, but not yet

She might be waiting to see if the courts rule in favor of forcing MCGHANN to testify. That hearing is Jan. 3rd. If he is forced to testify, all of them will be, and the hope is some “new evidence” will force more articles of impeachment.

Yeah, they would probably say that, but it would just be noise.

This BS will last for as long as the dems control the House. It won’t end until January 2021 and, then, only if the GOP takes back the House.

Yes, stopping the replacement of RBG after she croaks would seem to be a good reason for the Demonicrat antics. But that means the Demonicrats plan, by hook or crook, to steal the presidential election in November so they can name the replacement. And it will require more than a majority of popular votes, as they discovered to their unhinged outrage in 2016. Expect Demonicrat fraud and violence in key electoral states on Election Day. After all, the traitorous Demonicrats murder children of the womb for fun and profit.

I have said repeatedly that impeachment is a cudgel to beat Trump with, to get hime to tow their line.

Higher taxes, unlimted immigration, liberal judges, globalist, shut down US oil, climate change, etc, etc.

“Do what we want or we’ll transmit the articles and remove you tomorrow” is the implied threat.

If Trump appoints a replacement for RBG then any vote fraud case in the election will go in Trump’s favor in the SCOTUS.

If they can create a tie in SCOTUS the lower court ruling would stand.

IMO, the entire impeachment circus is to prevent an unfavorable election ruling by SCOTUS.

Massive fraud and then a hung SCOTUS is their ONLY chance.

May God above protect the lives of the honorable supreme court justices...the left would stoop to any level.

I think the whole thing was simply a fishing trip for political capital. The scenario you mentioned is certainly one very important thing for which they could use it.

But I think they simply sought 'as much political capital' as possible, to strengthen their hand for any political fight.

They hoped to get anywhere from zero to a lot of capital.

I don't think they expected, but may have figured in the possibility of, negative political capital being the result. SanFranNan may have correctly figured the risks. Probably Chuck too. Shifty probably narcissistically though he was a great enough man to pull it off.

As it is, they got less than nothing, except maybe more cardboard food for their most ardent cult members, and certainly the media appreciated the effort.

I don't think Americans will fall for a third fake coup.

So just bring it, Mitch.

Who says you have to wait for Pelosi? Just "deem" the Articles transmitted and start the show. Hey, how do you like that - by not waiting for Nan, you remove all the power she (supposedly) has over you.

Or don't use the fake impeachment framework at all. Doesn't the Senate have the right to start its own investigation into corruption in the Ukraine? Don't you have your own Judiciary Committee?

Stop being spineless and take the lead. The Senate is YOUR show, not Pelosi's. Your place, your rules. Fire up this beast and make it roar, and let the chips fall where they may.

As clearly as I can explain it:

An impeachment is an ‘accusation’ or ‘charge’.

The Constitution says the House has the responsibility for impeachments.
The Constitution allows the House to set it’s own rules.
The House has voted to impeach the President.
The President has been impeached (accused, charged) by the House.

The Constitution says the Senate has the responsibility for ‘trying’ impeachments.
The Constitution allows the Senate to set it’s own rules.
The Senate rules say that they will begin action on impeachment
when the House presents their findings to the Senate.

Thus far, the House has not presented their findings to the Senate.

So, we are currently at an impasse.

I can explain it to you,
but I can’t understand it for you.

well of course.

but this is just one angle. They are gonna use it for many angles.

the angle you mention, yes.

but also for the 2020 election commercials.

for the 2020 election debates amongst themselves.

Trump is their Goldstein.

“...when RGB passes, they can hop on the ‘unacceptable for a President under shadow of impeachment to appoint a Supreme Court Justice’ meme. Not to mention that he should not be allowed to grant any pardons or executive orders for the same reason.”

Just no:

1) The Senate can vote to acquit whenever it wants, no matter what the House does or does not do. That’s settled law (SCOTUS decision.)

2) The President’s authority to grant pardons is not subject to either Judicial Review or Congressional veto, as long as he avoids pardoning someone who is under House investigation, or on trial in the Senate, for impeachment.

The House Rats have ZERO say in the appointment of judges!

They can scream all they want, my money is on Trump and Cocaine Mitch.

If RBG croaks, Trump will nominate a good conservative justice, and Cocaine Mitch will ensure the nominee is approved by the Senate.

BOOM! SWISH! Trump scores again!

Problem is, the GOP tends to wimp out whenever dealing with dem shenanigans. They let themselves get played over and over and always let them off the hook. I hope this round of complete dem BS puts an end to that.

Although the Rats may have had actual fantasies of removing the President from office early on I'll bet that those fantasies faded pretty quickly.

IMO impeachment is now all about satisfying their Maoist base (the Somali moslem,Occasional Cortex and their pals)... and it's a campaign strategy.

IIRC Al Green of Texas has been quoted as saying something like "if we don't impeach him we can't beat him".Occasionally a Rat will let the truth slip out.It doesn't happen and it's usually accidental but it can happen.

You give them way too much credit.

They simply are afflicted with TDS, severe case of it.

That, and a few idiot bartenders and muzzies that wrangled their way to the front of the line and now garner a whole wad of attention, are actually handling the wheel of the house ship.

OK, here is a “what if?”

What happens if we win the house in 2020? Can we rescind the impeachment?
