I would absolutely love to come see either of your houses! I just love the old farm houses around here, All pretty much the same xterior structure originally - tall, two stories, but not very deep. My husband said it had to do with the length of the lumber that they could get. Anyway I see them and I really want to go see what they look like inside! Most of those original farm houses have been built on so there’s a rectangular building right behind them. That all seems to be similar also.

We bought a 1970s house that had never been touched, so we know all about what you’re talkin about! But the bones of this house were so so boring, they did nothing special back then. It’s just a rectangle box with low ceilings and everything was either avocado green or vibrant Orange, lol!

The thing I really loved about this house was the dishwasher though. It actually used hot water and then dried the dishes really well. That’s before they all tried to be so energy efficient. I was lucky though, we had a large living room in the basement so my husband put up a wall and brought all the cabinets and appliances from the kitchen downstairs. So now I have a canning kitchen! the thing I really loved about this house was the Dishwasher though. It actually used tot water and then dried the dishes really well. Or whatever I want to do with it. We could even rent out the basement because there’s too bedrooms and a bathroom and still a good size living room with a wood stove, and now a kitchen.

That second kitchen is SUCH a great idea! When we build our new Pole Barn, I want a Summer Kitchen out there, for the same reason! :)

I bought my parents’ 1970’s track home back in the 80’s - first thing I did was rid it of all the orange, yellow and avocado green, too!
