My bittersweet vine that is overwhelming my back porch is settling down for the winter, but I have lots of nice red berries to look at this winter. -Tom

Question - Can winter squash be planted in the same garden space as the previous year? Any other rules about reusing same areas?

This is the longest my winter garden has ever lasted. Still have arugula, Romaine, black Simpson lettuce, and kale. Sure wish I’d planted more beets! But I never know how long they get to grow.
I covered everything with sheets when we had a couple day of low twenties. The sheets were frozen and stiff but still everything underneath survived.
