Merry Christmas, lj! just got up from a nap (not a 'long winters nap' :) ). I got little sleep last night - the water heater quit after I did a little maintenance on it yesterday {over 25 years old!} I found a plumber who came and put in a new one today - on Christmas Eve! I gave him a $100 tip... he looked like Bob Cratchett when Scrooge said 'I am gong to raise your salary'. Bob's your uncle!!

We had a water heater from 1985, still worked. I never drained it. We have soft water. :) My wife insisted on replacing it.
