Val Kilmer was GREAT as Doc Holiday and it is perhaps one of the BEST character portrayals in the history of movies.

I own the movie and have watched JUST his scenes a hundred times :)

Of course he is sick of talking about it. I guess it gets annoying after a while, though I don’t know why.

Al Pacino said he NEVER gets bored being asked about his Michael Corleone character. That was refreshing.

But as far as playing a real historical character, it is EASILY among the top 10.

I don't watch Westerns but a friend said it was ‘a must watch’ just to see Kilmer’s performance.....I was totally engaged! Superb acting by Kilmer! and worth more than one viewing.
