Biden, who often touts himself as a “union man” on the campaign trail, made the promise while speaking at a rally organized by the progressive organization Fight for 15 in Los Angeles, California. During his remarks, which came only hours before the Democrat presidential primary debate, the former vice president channeled his more progressive rivals when stating that fight for $15-an-hour was about more than economics.
“It’s not just the numbers, and by the way there’s been a war on fast food workers for a long, long time,” the former vice president said, before lambasting companies like Chuck E. Cheese that require their workers to sign non-compete agreements.
“It’s all about depressing the wages for working people,” Biden said. “Folks, look we’re in a situation now where we find ourselves in a position, where you are the victims of power, a significant amount of power.”

“There is only one way you can fight back power,” he said. “That is with more power, and that’s union power… we should unionize McDonald’s.”

Apparently the honchos of McDonald’s haven’t been paying their tribute dollars to the perverted creep.
Hell, half the time he’s not aware of where he is.
NYC bagel workers used to be have their own union, Bagel Bakers Local 338.
Then a Canadian, iirc, invented the bagel making machine in the 1960s, and the bagel union was eventually subsumed into the United Food and Commercial Workers Union.

I’ve never cared for McDonalds so yes Biden can put them out of business, fine with me.
McDonald’s could easily automate as to not require a single employee at the retail level.
The typical base wages are around $11 to $12/hour in my area and many stores are vacant.
Even restaurant space is getting hard to lease.
The mall I passed isn’t even trying to lease much of its space.
Maybe he can be an executive at the union. Joe Biden can probably swing that.

I wonder if controlling illegal immigration would increase wages for working people by reducing the supply of unskilled labor. How many jobs has Biden created, excluding for immediate family members?

Donald Trump should contact some members of the Black McDonalds Operators’ Association - BMOA - black entreprenuers who are McDonalds’ franchisees, and see what they think of Biden’s idea.

If a person could make $60-70k plus (wage and benefits)working for McDees there would be no incentive to better yourself via post HS education
