I do understand that. I am no fan of Google.
But it would be weird if newspapers started routinely saying, “Honda employee sued for child support”, “Verizon employee arrested for DUI”, “Wells Fargo employee accused of domestic abuse”.

It would make sense to include Honda if Honda supported only candidates who overtly dealt with child topics. Also, I could see naming Verizon if they only supported candidates that overtly dealt with drinking. Its the same with Wells Fargo and domestic abuse issues.

That is why companies like Google should stay out of politics. They brought it up... now they have to deal with it. However, I doubt that they care.
