Along with the natural tendency to have fun decoding things, contemplate this:
What are you most likely to believe, something I tell you, or something I hint at that you then validate on your own? When people figure out things themselves, they own it. Their belief is much stronger than something simply told them by others. This goes 180 degrees against the idea of it being cultish. Do cults tell you to think for yourself? Nope. They tell you to believe what they are telling you and not question it.
