As an aside, there have been many archaeological curiosities (particularly in Egypt) which have caused people to wonder how certain rock material (stone slabs found in burial sites in particular) were cut with such precision.
I agree with you that such a curious finding should not cause an observer to jump to a conclusion (i.e., must have been a 500X drill).
Don't get me wrong. I am fascinated by the ancient Egyptians and admire their accomplishments. Any claims that we are unequal to their technology are just silly, and discredit the field of archeology.
The fallacious claim diminishes the author. The remaining points cannot stand any better without proof; however, now I doubt his credibility.
