Many women claim that they were coerced by their boyfriends to have abortions. Perhaps not a gunpoint but some men would do just about anything to avoid responsibility and child support.

Murder? Really? In California where knowingly and deceptively infecting someone with HIV is decriminalized, where abortion on demand is sacrosanct? I could understand if they alleged assault, well no, if HIV isn’t assault then no. I will go with false imprisonment but that’s it. Nothing else makes sense in California.

If its her choice to keep it without him being involved, and he doesnt want it, he can just keep his money and thats his choice. This law just turns a baby into the item that makes men indentured servants to a woman who may have just gotten pregnant for a 18+ year income stream.
Sometimes I wonder what would happen if the courts stopped forcing men to financially support these children. Would women realize that a baby isn’t a payday every month, wise up, and avoid sex until they marry? I’ll bet the baby mommas would figure it out fast.
We women can always say no. It is a decision we can make, and men will respect if they truly care about us. We opened Pandora’s box back in the ‘60s. So many of our laws are based on outdated social mores, and perhaps we should rethink them.
