I just finished listening to Schumer’s speech from earlier today.
He sounds panicked to me.
Also, he’s apparently trying to get into the Guiness Book of World Records for using the word “dilatory” the most times in a single speech.
Dilatory.
adj. Causing or intended to cause delay.
adj. Characterized by or given to delay or slowness: synonym: slow.
n. In law, a plea or other proceeding in a suit which is intended to delay the suit without reference to its merits.
What a tool.
My bet is that saying 1000 times that he’s not going to be dilatory means the exact opposite.
Interesting. I heard about Schumer’s comments but I didn’t watch. Now I think I will. I missed all the body langue, which can sometimes be the biggest part of the story. Nice to hear he’s panicking.
