World’s deepest point on land found hidden in Antarctica

A trough beneath Denman Glacier is the deepest continent point in the world, measuring more than 2 miles beneath sea level.

Scientists have known for years that Denman Glacier, a very large glacier in East Antarctica, has a trough beneath it, but they had no idea just how deep it was until glaciologists at the University of California, Irvine, mapped the region. According to this recently compiled a sophisticated map of the icy continent, this trench is actually two miles (3.5 kilometers) below sea level, which practically makes it the deepest point in the world.

Mathiew Morlighem, the lead author of the new study and an Associate Professor of Earth System Science at UC Irvine, says work on the recent topography map of Antarctica, known as BedMachine, started years ago almost by accident.

Morlighem and colleagues at NASA were designing models of ice sheets when they noticed that their simulations contradicted reality in some key aspects. For instance, some glaciers that were known to lose mass were suddenly gaining mass according to their models. Upon investigating, they found that it wasn’t bad math or the model’s resolution to blame, but rather the shape of the bed.

and yet democrats have found a way to sink even lower.

The way they do that is simple. I’ve observed them, to a man and woman in Congressional Committees, which one must assume among Democrats have risen to the top, and are among the lightest of the creatures, being completely impervious to facts, evidence, and logic presented to them, in fact, repeatedly spoon-fed to them on silver platters. Nothing penetrated their thick skulls no matter how hard those who were attempting to penetrate into the darkness drilled in with their pointed arguments.

From these observations, done entirely scientifically and with no preconceptions, one can only conclude the skulls of the subspecies homo semi-sapiens democratius sinister is quite thick and dense. Having continued my observations of two separate, but seemingly related sub-groupings of homo semi-sapiens d/s, I confirmed the skulls were, in fact so dense they must be composed of that densest of all materials known to human kind, neutronium.

Thus, these observation and conclusions, provide a rational explanation for your in-field discovery that Democrats (homo semisapiens democratious sinister) have been observed to "sink even deeper" than the observed depth of this glacier filled trench.

I would be interest in knowing if, in your field work, you’ve observed any of that almost extinct subspecies of Democrat called the Classical Liberal Democrat homo sapiens democratious liberalus, most often recognized by having double-breasted pin-striping, and a snooty attitude. If you should look on my behalf, please look also for the much more common Faux Democrat Liberal, also called the RINO (homo sapiens republicanis liberalus) as they are very difficult to distinguish from the genuine Democrat Liberal sharing the same snooty look, and can usually only be selected by which subspecies group they align with, but often betray.
