We were so lucky we found the good ones and had the luck to recognize them, and that they had the luck to recognize us.
I only saw my husband lose his temper twice in 45 years of marriage, both times defending someone in a subservient position being unfairly attacked. ( I probably deserved it way more than 45 times, but he was so patient with my high strung temperament) With me, he used humor, and I loved him so much for it.
When he lost his temper, he didn’t lose his cool reason, his logic, or his moral principals. He totally demoralized the offenders within 5 minutes, and they slunk off, demoralized and shamed. He was quiet but deadly.
I miss him. He is with God now, and I can’t wait to join him if that is in God’s plan for the hereafter. I can only hope, but do not know.
Thank you for your memories, jacquej. We cannot know God’s plan but we do know it is the best one.
Your post made me cry. Hugs to you.
I blew by this one the first time. (I blew by a bunch of posts trying to catch up.) Now going back to see what I missed. Sorry for your loss. Hugs.
