I can only speak for myself, of course.

I prefer confident, focused men, who are reserved and observant. Men who are always bloviating/bragging/posturing really turn me off.

I like the quietly strong man, who listens before trying to dominate. And, a sense of humor about the human foibles and condition gets me every time, particularly if it isn’t unkind.

Assertive and dominant doesn’t necessarily mean bloviating/bragging or posturing, btw. I know from almost 30 yrs of marriage. :-D
