***the call records were secured by means of a “National Security Letter” that FBI Director Chris Wray would have had to approve***

I can't believe AG Barr would let this pass - violating the Constitutional rights of the POTUS?! For a Snydley Whiplash napoleonic wannabe ego maniac, Adam Schifferbrains, who has done all but burn the Constitution on the steps of the Capital.

I hope this is AS's undoing AND whoever helped him pull off this travesty of justice. Has anyone else noted how little a role the Constitution has played in Demo'rat actions since they took control of the House... and how little that concerns them (and their media?) WARNING

What time frame did the spied on calls happen? When was Wray AG? I’d have to see actual evidence that Wray allowed Schifforbrains to the call records.

I understand, Bob.

And I’m not certain the call records were secured by means
of a “National Security Letter” that FBI Director Chris Wray
would have had to approve, either.

Nor, apparently, is Nunes.

According to some posts I just read at the forbidden city,
Nunes seems of the opinion that Shiff used subpoenas and
that Shiff lacked authority to issue them. That Nunes saw
them, but not who they were for, nor what all the records
that came back were about.

So the “How” does not yet seem to be conclusively
determined, and Shiff isn’t answering the question.

So Good to see you, Bob! You’ve been on many hearts, in many prayers, good man. Hope your improving steadily.

That’s why I believe Matthew Whittaker’s generally cheery persona may well reflect his personal knowledge that Barr is allowing nothing nefarious to go unaddressed, in the FBI.

I’ve read nor heard of Nothing in word or deed from Chris Wray that has ever been helpful to President Trump and his emasculating the Congress of their legitimate oversight duty, and of proofs they even have any left, has been Wray’s stock and trade, and of great aid and comfort to the communist inspired Democrats.

He was supposed to be a fair arbiter of the Executive branch, not a foot dragging albatross to the too few embattled congressional defenders of the president, in Congress.

I expect Barr has abruptly changed Wray’s lassiez faire attitude upon arrival. Senator Grassley has been thoroughly disrespected and for longer than anyone else, who obviously may be the scariest hound dog of all for the FBI to have to get into the ring with.
They Definitely don’t want his dogged questions answered. Now, why is that?

Grassley is Relentless. Sooner or later, he’s going to chomp their grits.

It would appear to me that they had to allow the crime to happen in order to indict and convict the perp right? And also allow the victims to bring suit for damages if they choose to.

The difference would be that they knew what the perp would do and let it happen, knowing the perp would find nothing incriminating (forcing perp to compose/construct evidence.)
