If you like your lightbulbs, you can keep your lightbulbs! The Obama Admin tried to limit Americans to buying more-expensive LED bulbs for their homesbut thanks to President @realDonaldTrump, go ahead and decorate your house with whatever lights you want. 💡— The White House (@WhiteHouse) December 22, 2019
I know @realDonaldTrump . He is a good, caring man, and someone that puts our country's trust in God. He understands the rights of every American come from our Creator.
I believe God's providence was very much part of him becoming our Commander-in-Chief, and he understands the importance of making sure our Judeo-Christian values remain the core component of our country's foundation.
Men and women of faith should be praying for our President @realDonaldTrump , not casting stones.
We had LED lights installed in our kitchen and the area where I have my laptop. They gave me headaches. I had them put the old lights back.
Remember when the government was trying to get us to buy fluorescent lightbulbs, even for table lamps! They were really awful. LED may be worth it if you plan to live in the house for ten years and you have lights in a cathedral ceiling
Can’t blame Pres. Obama.
The Energy Independence and Security Act of 2007 was signed by Pres. Bush.
Didn’t ban incandescent bulbs ( but it might as well have done so ).
It required about 25 percent greater efficiency (that is, 25 percent less energy use) for household light bulbs that have traditionally used between 40 and 100 watts of electricity.
On January 1, 2014, it became illegal to manufacture or import traditional 40-watt and 60-watt incandescent bulbs.
(emphasis on “traditional” really means inefficient)
The “had to have” CFL’s no longer meet the energy-efficient guidelines of the 2007 Act.
When LEDs came out...I paid the price to make my house CFL & Incandescent free. (I still use a couple of colored CFLs during the Chrismas season )
Blame Pres. Bush...
