Join us for another installment of Sunnyvale Public Library’s monthly film group, where we watch and discuss independent films. Our Monthly Film Group meets every fourth Monday from 6 to 8:30 p.m. (Starting in January: New time is 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.)
This month’s film is Saturday Church. In this musical, Ulysses, an inner city teenager struggling with gender identity, discovers joy and community in a Saturday program for LGBTQ youth. Saturday Church won Best Feature Film U.S. Narrative at the Kaleidoscope LGBT Festival and was nominated for Outstanding Film – Limited Release at the GLAAD Media Awards. Note that the film addresses sexual exploitation of a minor.
