Well, our pastor (of a pretty good sized church) sure doesn’t mind mixing politics and religion.

He gave a sermon on the importance of our votes and our nations historical values.

Volunteers were waiting outside the sanctuary, to register folks.

Same here. I am so thankful to be in a church with a pastor who is not afraid to preach the truth!

We are never told how to vote but to make sure we study the issues and learn all we can about those running in order to make an informed vote then go vote, all from the pulpit.

Sad that religious folks buy into the fallacy of “separation of church and state” that the left spouts.

How come that doesn’t seem to apply to Black churches?

Can a pastor discuss politics from the pulpit? If so, how far can he/she go. Can a pastor have political events at his home as a private citizen?

In May, 2017, President Trump signed an Executive Order intended to protect religious leaders who speak out on political issues. (See: "Trump Signs Executive Order on Religious Political Activity") It was signed while Congress was considering bills to eliminate the so-called Johnson Amendment entirely.

Read the article to get the full understanding.
