I am confused. What test did they do that showed the blockage? Was it an Ultra Sound? Usually when they see a blockage they immediately send you to have a stent put in the artery, unless it is an artery they can't reach for putting in a stent then they do bypasses. I will continue praying for your husband.
My husband seems to be stable at this time. His last blood work showed his hemoglobin hadn't gone down anymore since the previous blood test. I had asked the doctor if the reason he was loosing blood could be that the Baby Asperin (81mg) had caused a bleeding ulcer? He said could be, just take him off the Aspirin. So I did, but since then his left hand has closed tight and he can't grasp onto his walker which makes it harder for me and him to transfer from walker to bed etc. I am concerned that he is not getting a good flow of blood to it now. Also he was put on the Aspirin because of the pig valve. Didn't want any clots to build. So it is a catch 22. We are still waiting for the Gastroenterology doctor to call back about doing the esophagus and colonoscopy. It has been a week now since he saw him and so far no call.
I can’t tell you that as hubby talks to his doctor and doesn’t relay everything to me.
We are just doing what they tell us to do.
But we are off early Mon. morning to see a heart specialist in the valley, that’s Phoenix.
Glad to hear your hubby is stable right now.
Are you still without any help with hubby?
If he takes the baby aspirin with food and milk it should help. Or take a tagamet half hour before.
