The U.S. Navy says a second victim has died at the Naval Air Station Pensacola in Florida. The gunfire prompted a massive law enforcement response to the base, which was locked down. Three people are now dead including the shooter.
I read somewhere that Hastings impeachment plus removal didn’t include the statement “is precluded from other federal offices”. However look at Article 1 section 3 US Constitution
“..
Judgment in Cases of Impeachment shall not extend further than to removal from Office, and disqualification to hold and enjoy any Office of honor, Trust or Profit under the United States: but the Party convicted shall nevertheless be liable and subject to Indictment, Trial, Judgment and Punishment, according to Law.
....”
I read that as they would need to say it in their impeachment act. The US Constitution already says it, it has precedent.
