When I was riding a motorcycle I never was pulled over and always was 15-25 over the speed limit. I did get a few blinking warnings when splitting lanes.

Unless you are drunk you shouldn’t ever get a ticket on a motorcycle.

I truck out Ethridge, TN. Sitting in that truck lot I have witnessed plenty of folks, bikers included, get pulled over on US43. There have been some bad accidents in that 45 zone. 10 over will result in a fine. The nice lady in the trucking company office can confirm that since her husband was the police chief, and is now the Lawrence Co. sheriff.

Re: Motorcycles. It was different ̀50 years ago. When I would be riding through a small town anywhere in the mid or southwest if I saw a police officer follow me by with his eyes I just pulled over and leaned on my hands against the nearest wall. It saved some time. I once got robbed by a uniformed police officer in Kansas and he gave me a ticket, too. A few hours later in Omaha at 5AM a cop pulled up beside me and asked me whee I was going. I said just north but right now I am looking for breakfast and coffee. He said follow me and I had breakfast with him. In the big midwestern cities if a cop's eyes followed me as we passed each other in traffic I immediately got off the highway and started random riding through whatever neighborhood was nearby. I got chased several times but never caught. In my hometown I had a good relationship with the police. I always stopped for accidents if I saw them before the police got there. I am an ace director of traffic. There is an ordinance now against citizens doing that so I don't but still know all the officers by name.
