I plan to also. But all this praise from Hollywood is worrisome. I can only assume it sugar coats the FIB’s role in framing him.
I saw a preview a couple of days ago, and it looked very good.
I was so appalled when this happened because everybody knew that Richard Jewell was turned from hero to culprit because the FBI either couldn’t or didn’t want to say who was behind the bombing. But he fit the FBI profile for “white lone wolf” (which actually, based on the OKC bombing, means “white Muslim terrorist catspaw”). He was a sort of wannabe LEO, somewhat of a social outcast, not very attractive...wow, what could be better for the FBI?
I thought it was a disgraceful persecution of an innocent man who actually was a hero - he was observant and did the right thing at the right time, even if he didn’t look like a hero. So I’m going to the movie!
