Yeah I’m not buying any of this for a second. The whole food tester thing was always a myth, and wouldn’t actually work anyway, at least if the poisoner is smart enough to use a poison that takes more than 20 minute, or requires a non-negligible dosage.
The White House kitchen is under some of the strictest security anywhere. Besides it is much easier and more accurate to run a test by mechanical means then to have a food taster.
Finding it hard to believe he has a “food taster”. Maybe a food tester, but Trump is not going to have some other human being endangered as ruthless rulers of old did.
