While millennials and Baby Boomers fight an ongoing generational war, members of Generation X thought they were getting away unscathed and wondered if anyone even remembered they exist. Well, Generation Z most of whom count members of Gen X as parents certainly do, and they've decided they're not letting them off the hook. As more and more social media users are using 'ok boomer' as a dismissive insult for those born roughly between 1946 and 1964, now Gen z [sic] has decided that Gen X is also the 'Karen Generation,' referencing a stereotype of a dissatisfied, demanding woman who always wants to complain to the manager.

Anyone my age who has time to pay attention to this garbage needs a real hobby.
Who is Karen?
Hey! I resemble that remark! :)
Gen Z? Are we running out of generations?
Like Boomers never got bad advice and had to figure it out.
Suck it up Snowflake.
Its a name that they have associated with a person who complains about everything. As a Gen Xer, none of this really bothers me. I just find it funny that the common thread is millennials. We all worked very hard to make it where we are in life. They think that things were just handed to us. They are truly the generation that just wants things given to them They dont wanna have to work for anything, But they will go out and complain on the Internet about how the deck is stacked against them.
Gen Z.......... the Bedwetter Generation
May refer to this “Caren:”

Mike the Cop is a funny guy.
Most of us X-ers are just going through life, taking care of business in silence. Also, doing our best to avoid these people. Our “whatever, nevermind” attitude is why after 2004, people forget we exist. Thank goodness.
Zoomers can honestly find another group to tweak because we dont find people that just dont get on with it amusing or sympathetic.

Same with “Ok, Boomer”. Doesn’t really touch me except as a vacant response where they cannot rebuke a point with any viable riposte.
What I find most fascinating is how these kids are gravitating to socialism with such ease. It cures all their mental ills by packaging every thing for them so neatly.
Meanwhile those of us who grew up with out the internet had to learn by falling off of our bikes, getting scraped up climbing trees, making real mistakes with real consequences. Yet, we are entitled. We were just given things.
Our money was earned by taking from others. We are supposedly a generation of me, myself, and I, but they think that by taking from the 1%, they are going to earn their way to prosperity.
No skinned knees, stubbed toes, or broken bones required, but the deaths of millions at the hands of socialism and communism dont count because those generations were doing it wrong.
This came from the previous belief in the Aztec Calendar which ended with the year 2012...the end of the World.
As an aside, I always figured the one who made the calendar just ran out of space.
As a boomer, I have seen “ok boomer” as an insult, and I just can’t get worked up over it, it is so mindless and pointless.
On the other hand, “snow flake” says it all. However, most of the Gen Z I know are okay.
I still struggle with Australians calling a grill “Barbie”.
And Bob’s NOT my uncle...
Kind of like a lot of feminists I knew back in the 70’s. Once you had blown up all their arguments with facts and logic they would just look at you with disdain an utter dismissively, ‘You’re a man, you don’t understand’ and walk away. I’d just smile and put another notch on the belt.
Gen X here, I'll field this question. I dated Karen. She did always ask to see the manager to complain about her food. I dumped Karen even tho' she was athletic and hot back then. I was no longer willing to put up with her neediness. Ten years have passed and she is fat fat fat. Eating her aggression I guess. That and a whole lot of pizza! *badoop ching*
“Gen Z was to be the last generation.

Thank you, I was wondering about that. I thought maybe it because of the global warming thing. lol
If birthrates continue their decline, we’ll run out eventually.
Maybe the next group will be Generation AA.
