Huge battle at Chinese University Hong Kong.
“Your post makes no sense. Get back to me when you are sober and can form a complete coherent thought.”
Quisling concern troll says what?
Ha. Total lack of imagination / creativity (by you).
Besides, the discussion was NOT about clandestine aid in the way of, say, weapons, getting in. It was about damning information getting out. And if even a small number of HK’ers have learned from Tiananmen Square, info. will get out. (Nice try to change the subject, tho’.)
All power off? No one but highly trusted PRC military goes in or out? For how long? Months? Do you realize that’d probably kill a couple million people in HK? How do you think a densely packed-in generally affluent city of nearly 8 million residents works, anyway?
That’s not to say the PRC cannot crush HK. They obviously can. But, even sanctions aside, the PRC would severely wound themselves economically in doing what you suggest. And info. would still get out.
Good one!
(I’m assuming the translation was reasonably accurate.)
Your post makes no sense. Get back to me when you are sober and can form a complete coherent thought.
Why the long pause in responding? Are you awaiting instructions from a Chinese handler?
Paul, you are the one changing subjects and meandering. My point was simple. IF the PRC wants to shut down the comms in/out of HK, they will and they will be quite effective at it. They are not third world at internal suppression. Whether they do that or not is an unknown to me, but logistically, technically, it is quite easy and within their control. It is infinitely more difficult, both logistically due to geography, and politically, to penetrate that firewall if/when they bring it down.
All your other ‘Ha’ moments are rather childish, and will be ignored.
I see you woke up from your drunken stupor. Why dont you go pester someone else now? I dont like stalkers.
Cheese-eating surrender monkey says what?
Newbie Troll says what? Go stalk someone else now. I dont waste time with trolls.
You attack me first and then whine like a little SJW? Sad.
The difference this time is that most Chinese have smart phones that can video record and China will not be able to effectively censor evidence of their repression
My reply:
You are kidding, right? You know how easy it is to shut down cell phone service, i mean, completely? Little 'No service' symbol in the upper left hand corner? Isolated on an island, airport closed, ports closed...if the PRC wants to exterminate the entire island population they could do so without a single video getting out.
If that is what you call an attack, you must be a pretty thin skinned pussy.
The conversation remained civil through posts 98 and 100. It was your post 102 where you said:
So when did you join the omnipotent Chinese Communist Party to protect yourself?
and you have been going down the trolling, rude, looking for an argument road since. Buzz off now.
Nutjob “do not reply” list:
1)itsahoot - 911 conspiracy nut
2)messierhunter - rude stalker
3)Uncle Sham - lunar landing history denier
4)Sontagged - believes that the Iranian mining of six merchant vessels AND the taking of one of the crews hostage is really a CIA false flag (uh, nut job)
5)gaijin - ranted “Europe would today be better off had Hitler won, and yes, even for Jews”. (uh, may be more whacked than typical nut job)
6)does your screen name go here?”Put wildcard_redneck right here!
You must be having your behind rhetorically handed to you 24x7x365 if you felt the need to whine about “trolls” in your ‘About’ page. You are either too thin-skinned or making too many concern troll comments.
Toughen up buttercup.
Apparently you are just spectacularly ignorant* of the myriad NON "comms" (non-infrastructure) ways to move data, and if need be, do so in ways that are difficult to virtually impossible to detect or stop. Some (not all) methods creation would require an EE or ET (electronics tech) brighter than, oh, a beanbag. I think HK has a few around. Add a few parts. (Should be around, too.) Just to close out those possibilities alone, the PRC would have to, as I said, shut down the entire electromagnetic spectrum, or at least from AM Radio to UV, 24/7. Pray tell how even the PRC would try to accomplish that, plus shutting down the conventional "comms", without horrific "collateral" damage and deaths.
The only real fly in the ointment, from the standpoint of getting info. out, is that many methods DO need someone outside as a receiver who knows when, how, and where to monitor / receive / transfer / forward, etc. This is best arranged in advance.
*That is not intended as an insult: None of us is expert in everything. I for example, at least without doing a bit of research, am ignorant in how to successfully cultivate rhubarb. Or make great wine out of it. My grandfather would have likely considered that a great liability. ;-)

Bump!
Will always ei Hong Kongs corner.
I will be similarly respectful in reply.
I am not ignorant of the techniques you allude to. I think you are being spectacularly naive however (also no insult) about the brutality of the PRC and how this would go down.
HK is like a mini NK, except it has no border with a western friendly country. It is 1000 miles from the nearest western friendly country. It is a small group of islands and borders only mainland China. How much info comes out of NK, a PRC puppet state? Almost none, and thats with SK right next door.
The HK economy may dissuade a lockdown, but the regime wont tolerate any political threat, economy be damned.
The PRC has been moving secret police and troops into HK for months. They have collected names of dissidents, activists, and trouble makers for years and have a long list of those to arrest first. They can easily kill all power in an instant and will know if anyone has generators. They will ask all diplomats to leave if necessary before or during a crackdown. 48-72 hours after the shutdown, pretty much all the activists will have been rounded up and sent to camps in the mainland, or worse.
Its possible the PRC will just put down the protests and not care if images are sent out, but they learned from tien Amin square too. If they choose, they will ensure that before the real violence starts, all the ground work, secret arrests, and comms infrastructure isolation has taken place. It would be as easy as Grenada except the PRC is already there in droves.
Im going to leave it at that and say we disagree, hopefully without the insults other posters cant seem to resist.
Hahahaha! Magnum44 put me in his about page because he’s butthurt about me? Pathetic. Last I can find he would still post on my threads.

Guess he didn’t like how rude I was to flat earthers, even though he claimed to be pretty rude himself.
Magnum44 lives in a glass house.
I will admit to posting after having drank a few too many once or twice but my posts to him in that thread were done stone cold sober.
I guess I just dont have the proper respect for our Chinese overlords.
