In the ‘70s it was that way in the local government where I worked. For years, going to work was more fun than not going to work. All of that ended after an excellent office party (the local contractors supplied the booze) when an attendee hit someone with his car. City Attorney was on it in a skinny minute, and parties became more subdued.
The 70’s, 80’s and 90’s were all great to me. Parties out the ying-yang. Kids today are all wrapped up in themselves and their angst. They can’t have fun.
