The black cabs of London waiting on Westminster Bridge to ferry the veterans from Waterloo station to the Cenotaph and back again......for free.
They do this every year, but it never seems to be mentioned in the press.
Good on you cabbies.

Thank you.
Watched on Netflix an episode on the Spitfire and now several episodes into WWII in Colour.
The corrupt globalist press is owned by liberal ‘elites’ - of course they wouldn’t cover this...
To my British compatriots across the pond....BULLY !!!! Well done, from a Yank
FWIW it seems like Britain and the Commonwealth countries make a bigger deal of Remembrance Day than we do of Veteran’s Day. Seems like all public figures wear poppies for the first half of November.
Well that’s just beautiful. Thank you.
I was in Bridport, Dorset this summer. It’s right on the southern coast of England and was a staging point for D-Day. I visited the small, local museum that has the history of the town.
I had a long conversation with the Director and was delighted to hear him tell me that the residents loved the Americans who were there before D-Day; how they related to the people, brought things over the Brits hadn’t had since the war began, doted on the children giving them candy and so forth.
At one point, I jokingly said, So it wasn’t a matter of ‘over paid, over sexed and over here? His reply was, Oh, that was just a tease! Neat conversation.
When I was in London 3 years ago...for the first time in 25 years...I was disappointed to see that most of the London taxis were no longer black. They were of different colors and advertising plastered all over the outside of them. The old red double-decker buses are gone too. :(

Good for these Brits.
Amazon has on a smaller basis, a financial thank you to any active duty serviceman or any veteran:
A $40 off on new Prime Customers. If you are an established prime, they will take $40 off when your next yearly Prime dues bill comes.
Just contact Amazon for specifics. It took me about 2 minutes to get $40 off my next yearly dues.
I didn’t need any copies of my DD214 or Discharge paper.
Thanks.
