That’s a great site! Of note —> “In the last 30 days, the United States set a Total of 7,112 new All-Time Low Temperature Records vs just the 1,605 Max.”
I was at Ft. Carson, Colorado, during that winter. We were on the warm side of that El Nino or La Nina or whatever it was. The pictures from back East looked awful. Thank you, U.S. Army!
I lived in Pinetop in the White Mountains during fall, winter and spring ‘75 - ‘76. That was one COLD snowy winter. Hawley Lake routinely set the Lower 48 record cold temperature that winter.
I was just checking the White Mountain temps a couple days ago and it looked like balmy 60s, just like you say. Enjoy!!
I’m on the other side of the state. at about the same latitude. It was probably worse by the lake.
...and they produce 2 billion pounds of “dark matter”.
You are exactly right. The solar guys have been predicting this for quite a while. We are at the low point in the solar cycle and the face of the sun continues to be blank.
“Your story strengthens my belief in God.”
God lowered his standards for angels pretty far that night!
Doesn’t look like he could do 10 push-ups.

There must be a global warming conference going on near there.....
Time to activate the gretatracker and see if she/he/them/they are behind this.
What lake? It was just a big ice cube ;)
Yeah, I was at 7,500 feet in Pinetop. That was probably the best winter of my life, but I was only 24 years old then.
We bought a second home in far north Idaho a couple years ago to get away from the insanity that has become California. But CA is still a good winter retreat.
Ain’t North America great? It will be warmer in Moscow RU tomorrow than in Filthydelphia PA.
I hope it doesn't flip over!
Here in S.e. Michigan, it was 26 degrees this morning, warmed up to maybe 36 and has now dropped down to 28 degrees at 6:00 p.m. and likely to fall lower.
I can't recall when the temps have been this low so early in November..............There is no doubt in my mind that it's going to be a colder than normal winter but I just hope we don't get the snow that typically comes with it.
