Star Trek actor William Shatner waded into a generational row last night as he took aim at the catchphrase 'OK Boomer' and feuded with a Twitter user who had blamed older people for millennial 'hardships'.

The jibe 'OK Boomer' has become popular among millennials and the younger Generation Z, who use it to show exasperation with older people and their opinions.

One Twitter user aimed it at Shatner yesterday but the Hollywood veteran, who was born in 1931, fired back: 'Sweetheart, that's a compliment for me.'

Warming to his theme, Shatner said he would 'wear that badge with honor' and embarked on a heated row with a millennial user, eventually calling her 'divaesque'.

If Snowflakes weren’t so WOKE they might actually realize they have much to learn from their elders/betters. Being so “open-minded” has had deleterious effects I fear because that act has allowed their brains to fall out of their heads.

Old adage, children should be seen and not heard would apply here. One mouth, two ears, listen more than speak would be a good rule for them to follow at this moment in time.

Technology might be a wonderous thing for all but little uns still need to be taught how we arrived here and on who’s backs we were carried.

For some strange reason I feel a lesson will be arriving for them very soon.

50% +/- of the millennials and the younger Generation Z should have been aborted.

They were. What we have left are the “Useful Idiot Generation”.

Unfortunately for the rest of us, they will inherit our Republic. Heaven help us.

Which goes to my point that it makes no sense to blame the generations before you for things one sees wrong.

Every generation has many, many great people, and many, many bad people. To blame a whole generation for everything is ludicrous.

Each generation add’s to the last generations troubles, and each generations builds upon great things the last generation did.

Thus, we need to go all the way back to Adam and Eve to see when it began to fall apart.

Just do what you need to make your life better, and look to Christ as the One who can help you through the mess we all created here.

And that is what is truly sad. Most of us (freepers, conservatives) thought that the people we were voting for had the same values that we had. It is only recently that we have discovered the depth of the treachery that has been going on with our elected officials.

Japanese-style animation. Big-eyed cutesy characters and the men are usually effeminate with big hair, while the women look like a pedophile’s fantasy.

Well, I can't argue with at least one of your complaints - Vietnam - which I fought in. But many others e.g. "Forcing young people to get a Master's Degree just to work an office job" are like WTF?
You whining puts out a lot of smoke, but no real flames.

I’m a Boomer born in 1962. Wear the insult as a badge of honor.

IMHO the millennial generation is the most polarized one. I don't mean "polarized" in the political sense, though they seem to be that too. I mean they're the generation that's the hardest to generalize and almost never has kind of a middle ground take on any behavior.

Take work ethic. Or drugs. Or sexual behavior. Or the way they handle money. Or physical fitness. In almost every way they're either full tilt in the positive or full tilt in the negative with little kinda-doing-it-so-so. For instance, I know millennials who have an awesome work ethic and ones who are the laziest bunch you'll meet, with few who work well some days and so-so other days (like a lot of Gen X-ers did as young adults). I know some who don't touch drugs at all, and some who are hooked on meth or heroin, but few who just smoke a joint every once in a blue moon (like a lot of Gen X-ers did). Same with either being full throttle Christians abstaining until marriage, or the complete opposite where every weekend is an attempt to do the nasty, and few who just do a little every now and then with a steady boyfriend/girlfriend (again like many Gen X'ers did). Same with physical fitness. Monetary habits. Hygiene habits. If they're civil or crude with others. It's like they know no middle ground at all.

Yes. We Boomers had it so easy - did you know that almost all of us Boomer guys were given government jobs immediately out of High School? Job security, free healthcare, travel, adventure...And the opportunity to retire at 40 with free healthcare for life. Can’t beat that.

You should be so lucky.

They should also be aware that arguing with a producer or a director ( Shatner is also both ) is not the best career path for a young actor/actress.

OK, I agree,,,,,

BUT!

As I said about every generation is to blame.

Who raised them and educated them?

Who allowed them to be who they are. To blame the product without blaming the architects is like blaming Eastern Europeans of being so Godless in the 60’s 70’s and 80’s while ignoring the very architects of the way they were indoctrinated.

Today, 20 years after the fall of the Soviet Union and it’s satellite country Soviet style leaders, the people are experiencing freedom, and yes most of their millennials are now pro-Christian and pro -capitalist hard working people.

So blame the children, but you do so by ignoring those who created them.

Now, we can do the same to the Boomers, because their parents won the war against tyranny and against poverty of the depression, but forgot to fight the battle waged against their children by the leftists Soviets invading the university systems. So the greatest generation is also to blame, because their children are the ones who raised the next couple of very selfish children.

So, tell me where should we begin to put the blame?

Maybe instead of placing blame we should put more energy into a way of fixing that which we ALL had a hand in creating.

You’ll probably have to explain what you mean by your comment...LOL...

Millennials will probably think you are referring to some kind of beer...
