For some reason, Millenials and Generation Zers follow certain people on social media.
Usually some vapid twit who posts pictures all day hawking products that they get for free because they hawk products and post pictures on Instagram all day. Some make millions of bucks.

A social-media influencer is somebody with a lot of social media followers, who can be used to influence opinions of their followers.
Was thinking the same thing myself. I have not a clue and actually I don't want to know what it is. It must have something to do with what the common core (un)educated gen ?'s do these days.
