Your position appears to be that all damages were covered by insurance and other funding.

Last story I read was where this girl was taken down by some three or four cops because she was riding her bike on the wrong side of the street (residential) and refused to show ID (like a kid carries ID). Had pictures of her buried under cops trying to cuff her. (Daily Mail story). They hauling 7yo’s out of class and jailed. Story after story.

Facts matter.
The way insurance companies work in this regard is not right. This man will be penalized by the action of others outside his control. Say he has a hail damage claim next year, 2 claims in one year and he gets dinged by the actions of the police. Seems a bit one sided to me.
