Don’t want to dox myself but here is a picture I took of the conference room at the military base I visited. Router not under the table, cables not managed in any way.

The reason I took the picture was because of the lawn sale furniture they were using. I think I counted 11 different chair styles.

This was just a small group and only a couple of people were connected. I think the cable rats nest is a nothingburger.

Lawn furniture - the past many years of budget cuts and continuing resolutions have impacted all sorts of stuff. Furniture is a very low-priority and this set up isn’t unusual...

If you unplug the equipment, take the cable with you. Doesn’t the equipment need the cable where it ends up?
