IDK what a fair sentence would be. I’m glad she served SOME time, paid a fine, and still has to do community service.
With what we know about the world these days, her crime seems small compared to those who abuse children. Basically her crime is “cheating”. Not trying to minimize what she did; just tying to get some perspective.
One working theory out there is that Huffman was greatly advantaged, by way of her competent counsel, by her nearly instantaneous offer for full cooperation with the authorities and followed up by her very early Plea of Guilt.
The rest of the working theory is that, therefore, concerning Lori Laughlin, who took immediately the opposite path of Huffman, one of RESISTANCE (bordering on Rebellion) and who maintains that Resistance even today, that the Book will be thrown at her, and the PILE ON for including even additional charges has commenced, and the *time* recommended against her will be long and painful.
The LAW intends to END this unequal pay-to-play scheme used by the super wealthy whose money knows no end and never runs out. There will be at least Consequences for those scamming the system of tricky entrance for the unqualified whose parents buy them into meritorious futures that are denied to others.
