Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will have to 'renounce their royal privileges ' ahead of any planned move to South Africa, a royal expert has suggested.
The Duke, 35, and Duchess of Sussex, 38, voiced their desires to live in the country on ITV's Harry & Meghan: An African Journey, which aired on Sunday and charted the pair's ten-day tour in South Africa.
However royal correspondent Victoria Arbiter told the New Zealand talk show Breakfast that there are a number of reasons a move to South Africa cannot occur while the couple remain members of the royal family.
Questioning whether the British or South African taxpayer would fund their security, she added that showing 'favouritism' to one Commonwealth nation would not be fulfilling their 'responsibility' to the Queen.
'That’s just not going to be OK unless, of course, they renounce all of their royal privileges, their royal titles, everything to do with their life as a member of the royal family', she said. 'I don’t see that happening, either.'

Everyone should go to the Daily Mail on line and read the thread about what was claimed, on CNN today, about how these two worthless gits have now supposedly "single handedly modernized the monarchy", which all of the populace "love" and read the comments section!
Between the stupid "documentary" disaster and now this...fiasco, they are NEVER going to get out of that very wide and extremely deep chasm they've dug for themselves!
Ergo...no Christmas with the Queen, no Balmoral, no being with stinky ( their view! ) immediate Royal family members, no hunting, and NO having to spend a dime on anyone but themselves!

It’s a moot point; George is the first born and will someday be the Prince of Wales and the master of the Duchy of Cornwall; IF the monarchy manages to last that long, after what the cringe & cringe are doing to destroy it right now.
But george may have a daughter first. Its something they should straighten out. There was a Bill to address it but it got pulled.

If you have a chance, watch the HBO documentary, “Queen of the World”. It is advertized as which duties will be given to the younger generations when she gives up the crown. It isn’t. Charles and William make very fleeting appearances. Kate is a total no show. Harry is there for a very few minutes. Aside from Liz, the main character is MEghan.
It shows her going ooooh! at her wedding veil which she apparently never saw before the wedding day. It and the gown were being placed in a museum and the discussion is about the Commonwealth countries’ flowers being embroidered on the veil. She acts as if this were the first time she ever really looked at it and then admits she only met with the designer a couple times and then left all decision up to the designer. The show later points out that Liz had the Commonwealth flowers embroidered on her coronation gown’s train. IOW, MEghan (cough, the designer) copied the idea so the world can drop all the careful consideration MEghan put into her wedding.
When was/is that show on?
Every single Royal bride's gown & veil goes into the same museum; along with the others.

Have you seen the newest article about this gutternipe, on DM today? The Queen has now removed their wedding photo, from its "place of honor", in front of a larger one of Wills & Kate, on a side table by a fireplace, in the room she receives important guest in and which QE II also likes to sit and read in. And...she is on the cover of TATTLER; however, it's a FOUR YEAR OLD PICTURE that has been PHOTOSHOPED within an inch of its life! hehehehehehe
Ugh, there was another documentary on them last night. Two in one day. I passed on the second. Her PR agent is working overtime. She’s a train wreck that you don’t want to look at but somehow you sneak a peek.
Liz probably threw the photo into the fire while exclaiming, “Burn, witch, burn.”
Whatever they're spending on the at least three different PR firms ( whilst REFUSING to even talk with the ones that the Palace uses )they're now using, is worse than wasted money! The cringe & gringe are now not just loathed...they've even managed to turn MOST once "fans" of theirs off completely!
If, as is suspected, they do shows with Oprah and Ellen, whilst they are here, I suspect that that just may be the final straw, for The Firm/QE II !
never been a fan of Megan M... Harry was always a cute kid and did some good things but I know him best as a guy who has made a lot of poor choices in a world where he should have more discretion. Always wonder if it would have been better if his mom was alive. I guess he seems happy in his own way with MM.. but I would have hoped he had chosen a gal with a bit more polish and reverence and respect for the royal life she is in. You can still have those traits and be fun and attractive. But the old saying love is blind is surely the case.
I always enjoy following threads on the royals. Ill be the first to admit I am not as well read historically as I should have been.. good old Biologist... ask me about chromosomes and Ill blow you away. LOL
