Outcome 2. Trump is removed, and we witness the extinction of the fightless GOP.
Outcome 2a. Trump survives, is a clear loser in 2020 and the GOP is still sunk.
The GOP is trying to negotiate a better outcome and Trump is going berserk making clear exactly how corrupt and out of control everything in the swamp really is.
The foreign policy "experts" have painted themselves into the war-party corner, while Trump (obviously using the resulting bargaining power that gave him with Ergogan) got a cease fire (deal with me or deal with those war-mongering crazies).
Of course Trump is a master at the game and the other side is 10,000 self-serving idiots who cannot develop a workable and unified position - in part because such a position doesn't exist. Hillary accusing Tulsi of being a Russian stooge is just another example of how utterly broken all of the political establishment is.
The part of the calculus that is different this time for the GOP is that the Trump base detests them, and regards the GOP as worse than something that sticks to your shoe. Trump said he needed them in 2016 and so they got both houses, betrayed the voters and they lost the house.
