I actually picked Hurricane because it was second choice to St George, forgetting completely that Hurricane is in a valley of the mountains, whereas, St George is much lower, has red soil to soak up the heat from the sun, and is in FRONT of the mountains and sooner or later, I will move there.
Back from Walmart where I thought I was going to freeze solid while trying to put the grocks in the cargo area. Gloriosky! The Walmart Wind was nasty, biting and literally pushed me into the store.
I spent $10 more than I planned to, but didn’t get the heater or the Britta filters so I still have to freeze while drinking bottled water. Now I need to gather up my courage and go back out to bring the grocks in, and I don’t look forward to that at all.
My throat is doing some wonky things since yesterday, and I don’t like it. Back to Emergen-C with every dose until such time as I start feeling “normal” again, whatever that is.
Did I ever tell you all how much I like Michael Goodwin of the NY Post? Not only because I don’t mind clicking on the NY Post, not only because he calls the Mayor of NY “Mayor Putz”. He really gives me a chuckle. Here’s an example.
“Thus, Pelosi is ready to throw America into chaos simply as a political favor to Democrats wing-nuts so they wont run primaries against her leadership team and committee heads.”
“Democrats’ wing nuts” - ya gotta love it.
“I actually picked Hurricane because it was second choice to St George, forgetting completely that Hurricane is in a valley of the mountains, whereas, St George is much lower, has red soil to soak up the heat from the sun, and is in FRONT of the mountains and sooner or later, I will move there.”
Hurricane is at 2880ft ASL
St. George is at 2860ft ASL
It’s the “in FRONT of the mountains” part that makes the difference. Although, sometimes being “in FRONT” means taking the brunt of storms passing through; St. George gets slammed, and Hurricane gets the tailings.
