Last November, Democrats hailed California voters' rejection of Proposition 6, a law to scrap the state's 2017 massive gas taxes. They crowed that Californians were glad to pay five bucks at the pump when the rest of the U.S. average was half that. Big reason? Because $3 billion of those takings would save the state's tumbledown highways and go to repair roads and bridges.

When Prop 6 made it on the ballot, amid much consternation from the elected classes, the proposed title on the ballot was to be, “Proposition 6: Repeal the Gas Tax”.
After a little slight-of-hand, what showed up on the ballot was: “Proposition 6: Diverting funds away from road and bridge repair”
Lies and low information voters, this is how the democrats have screwed California.

I knew that this would happen from the start.
The bill stated that funds would be used for blah, blah blah ‘and transportation projects . . .
construction means construction jobs and oversight jobs and graft and payola. Billions coming in every year earmarked for the democrats and their minions. Sweet deal.
But hey Democrats are the ones that really care about the little guy and not the rich people. They will screw you over but they really care.
Exorbitant, outrageous funds paid to contractors for mediocre work product, followed by cost overruns followed by contributions to democrats, followed by exorbitant, outrageous funds paid to contractors. Same for teachers unions and same in Illinois.
Gosh, a Democrat stealing funds. What could possibly happen next?
