West central Wisconsin here. Frost last night. So many flowers courting the grim reaper. The potted Hibiscus are now in the foyer; loaded with a batch of their stingy blossoms - finally - just in time to croak if outside. But the field corn is all black layered, so a good frost will speed up the natural drying.

I am impatiently waiting for my Popcorn to dry. I planted 'Calico' this season, in the hopes that I can find something similar to the type I buy at market - which costs an arm and a leg per pound. Puh-leese! It's not like they're hand-shucking it!
