I'm in Alameda County and my neighborhood is one of the areas that may/will be affected. There has never been danger of wildfire where I am. I went to a store last night and it was PACKED with people buying water and dry goods like a hurricane was coming.
Now, I fully recognize that weather can and will change BUT there isn't so much as a breeze right now and they're talking about shutting our power off in an hour or so.
I agree that something else is going on but no one seems to care. When I tell them there's something fishy about this their eyes glaze over and just look at me and ask “why would they”. I'm really curious how this will play out.
What the heck happens to people who need electricity for home medical equipment? No power for up to five days?
I haven’t seen any talk of opening shelters, but it might be appropriate.
All around the Bay Area, but not SF.
Businesses closed. Schools closed. Grocery stores without cold storage. No gas.
I’ll send prayers up for Cali-FReeQs. I can’t imagine why this isn’t major national news!
Something is definitely rotten here...
That is very strange, thanks for update.
OMGosh stay safe. The whole thing sounds bizarre. I would be very suspicious.
This is bizarre. They are up to something. Just not sure what it is.

It could be as simple as they got sued big time and decided to take it out on it’s customers.
