The government has office space in every state. Would the POTUS have the power to spread the entrenched Washington bureaucrats all over the country? So, for instance, you could have the CIA director's office in Ames, Iowa the FBI in Gulfport, Mississippi, etc. Get them out of their little bubble and force them to mingle with the hoi polloi. Perhaps it would give them a better perspective on what's happening in the country.
In the age of instant communication I see no reason why power has to be so centralized any longer.

In the end these clods may win lengthy appeals and reinstatement. At which time I would reassign their job to a satellite office in Nome, Alaska.
I am a hoi polloi and to be quite honest I don’t want the Swamp creatures in my back yard.
Don’t stop there, think of the amount of money that could be saved if each congress critter had to stay in their district full time and communicate via closed circuit and internet. No more travel cost and we could turn the House and Senate buildings into museums. All this could easily be done to save money we don’t have. The EPA, Dept. of Labor and Dept. of Ed will be abolished and each state can form their own if wanted
