I usually do three eggs, three slices of bacon, sautéed onions and mushrooms, a couple slices of cheese, and an avocado or some other fruit or veggie. Plus coffee with cream. Occasionally I’ll do a slice of buttered Ezekiel bread but in general I try to steer clear of starchy carbs. I would describe my overall approach as moderate low carb. It’s worked pretty well — I’ve been doing it for about four years and have gradually lost about 30 pounds. At this point I’m within a few pounds of my college weight and feel really healthy. I should add that I eat a lot of fermented foods — kimchi, kraut, whole milk plain yogurt.
But you have lost all your friends..................
I love kimchi!
We have a Korean mart here in Dallas that I go to get my Kimchi fix.
Wife hates it though, and I have to be careful I don’t stink up the place with it.
I eat a 4 or 5 egg omelet every morning with green pepper, jalapeno and 3 slices of cheese. I’m 70, been doing this for years and blood work is excellent.
