We have to take careful note of the Republicans in Congress who fail to utterly denounce this farce and stand tall with the President.
Anyone who is silent right now is worthless, or worse.
Never forget, and primary ALL of them out of office.
I'm going to call my sheepish Republican Rep tomorrow and go on an epic rant at his office, if I can't reach him personally.

Biden Campaign Urges TV Networks to Stop Booking Giuliani

HYSTERICAL!! STOOOOP! Never laughed so hard!!
Good article from Sundance. He's good at researching arcane issues like the House rule changes that were designed to facilitate the impeachment and put in place by Pelosi at the start of this Congress.
Pelosi has new rules the effectively reduce minority participation in the process to only the final vote. This is unlike the process used in the Nixon and Clinton impeachment proceedings.
I love watching Rudy Giuliani - he’s fearless in defending the truth. It’s not surprising that this leaves the Biden camp apoplectic !

Reportedly, Richard Stallman (Open Source, author of Emacs) is *homeless* following an attack on him over some remarks he made on line.
Yes, I’ve heard he’s autistic and more annoying than Sheldon Cooper. But still...
Can anyone confirm?
Interesting discussion on green there Cats.
My knowledge is limited but as I understand it Green is one of the later colors to define it’s own “name” when it comes to linguistics.
In the case of Japanese for example green is still often referred to as ‘ao’ or ‘aoi’, which is actually the word for blue. It has only become differentiated within the last 200 years as ‘meouro’ - and that is mainly due to European influence.
Even today my wife will refer to things as ‘ao’/’aoi’ causing me all kinds of confusion when trying to figure out what she’s referring to.
Purple and orange are other late linguistic color bloomers.
It’s interesting - I went and looked at the options for Calls and Puts on the strike in nearly every case the Puts are as expensive if not more than the Calls - which rarely happens.
The Puts (options anticipating a reduction in stock price) are going for as much as 20% of the stock price - big bets to the lower side.
long ago we were looking at this - from some Q post I think - will check around tomorrow..
Looks like they were recently listed.
The cybersecurity stock is expensive, yes -- but the latest earnings show it's for a really good reason. Nicholas Rossolillo ..Motley Fool, Sep 6, 2019 at 11:07AM
CrowdStrike Holdings (NASDAQ:CRWD) is one of the fastest-growing names in the cybersecurity industry, and its recently minted public stock reflects that. Since its public debut in June, shares have doubled along with the endpoint security upstart's sales.
CrowdStrike joins a number of other cybersecurity outfits that dwell solely in the cloud -- names like Zscaler, Okta, and privately held but equally fast-growing iboss, which I'm told by CEO and co-founder Paul Martini is planning to go public within the next year as well. In spite of how young the company is, though, CrowdStrike has quickly become one of the largest firms in the cybersecurity industry.
The massive growth numbers continued in the second quarter, but shares took a much-needed breather. With the outlook for the business overwhelmingly positive, this looks like a good time for growth investors to make a small initial purchase. Q2 shines
While not as glorious as Q1, the second quarter of CrowdStrike's 2020 fiscal year (the three months ended July 31, 2019) was nevertheless impressive, and it surpassed internal guidance provided a few months before. According to its earnings report out Thursday, revenue grew 94% to $108 million, and while the company is still operating in the red (partly by design to maximize growth), operating expenses grew by a far lower rate of 51% when excluding stock-based compensation. Free cash flow was negative $29.2 million during the quarter, versus negative $35.7 million a year ago.
++++!

Although the constitution of the United States protects the freedom of the press, the US criminal code outlines severe punishment for using the press to aid in the attempted overthrow of the government.
Hope it was worth it.

“Were there Rolcons during WWII?”
what do you think they would have been called then?? i’m sure there were. i’ll have to ask my dad’s take before he forgets. he’s 91 and was a teen then. he has some great stories about his experiences during the war. he was too young to fight, but as soon as he turned 18, he joined the Marines.
haha.. i was reading this whole wikipedia page about who didn’t vote to go to war with Germany... then went and read a bunch of fascinating biographies, almost linked it here, only to realize i was reading about ww1 :/.

“The vote was 880 in the Senate and 3930 in the House.”
when it came time for japan it was 388-1. jeannette rankin voted no not only in ww1 but against japan in ww2. but i’m not sure who did NOT vote. i don’t know why the difference in the numbers of 393 and 388.

"Senator Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) pointed out on the floor of the Senate last week that the Democrats began making plans for President Trump’s impeachment well before he was inaugurated. She noted that in December of 2016 the Democrats were already at work on a Senate bill whose sole purpose was to enable Democrats to exploit spurious conflict of interest allegations involving President-elect Trump’s business dealings and his official duties. The legislation was specifically conceived as an impeachment weapon:
The bill was tailor-made to transform conflict allegations into impeachable crimes. Keep in mind this bill was conceived before President Trump became President Trump. It was the beginning of a mission toward impeachment, even if they had to fabricate the means to get there. And let me tell you, they were determined to make it happen.… Yesterday, House Democrats, supported by their friends in the Senate, gathered to announce their intention to begin formal impeachment inquiries against President Trump."
