I saw The Hooters at a Philly burbs high school in 1984 right before their debut album came out. They were awesome. But they had enough gear for The Spectrum. Loudest concert ever. My ears were ringing for 2-3 days.
The Spectrum. I saw Cheap Trick as the opener, Sweet and Foghat as the headliner there.
Had that experience at the Tower with Springsteen -- speakers the size of sports cars pile one on top of the other. Literally made me nauseous. A foretaste of his political views soon to come!
