CLARKSDALE, Miss.-
The homeowner told WREG he ordered the intruder to the ground and held him for police.
Police have charged David Hobbs with burglary and are holding him at the Coahoma County Jail on a $25,000 bond. Although not visible in Hobbs booking photo, the homeowner insists Hobbs was also wearing fairy wings at the time of his arrest.
Multiple people told WREG that Hobbs frequently roams the neighborhood alleys and has even attempted to break into other peoples sheds, but they said he usually isnt wearing a costume.
Normally, I see him, he be straggly looking with jeans and a t-shirt or something like that,

Mississippi needs someone to steal Florida Man’s thunder.
interesting a homeowner who didn’t catch him whilst wearing that outfit would be looked at rather strangely by cops when describing the thief as being dressed as Captain America.
Looks like Dr. Gregory House gone on a bender.
Busted! “...And I would have gotten away with it too,
if it wasn’t for those meddling ex-Marines!!”
There is no such thing as an ex-Marine unless dishonorably discharged. The proper term is retired Marine. Know several retired Marines and they take this issue VERY seriously.
Hes still less of a nutbag than Chris Evans.
Not even then. They still consider Bobby Garwood a brother Marine.
Once a Marine.... always a Marine.
Those Skrulls are nothing but trouble, I tell ya.
The only ex-Marines are those other-than and dishonorably discharged.
Oh, and people like Mueller.
Irritates me too, but the proper term is “Marine veteran.”
Ugh...drugs.
A friend of mine is a retired Army Major. His dad calls himself a retired Marine. He’s a former Marine who served two years yet he calls himself retired.
I think there’s a pretty big difference between a guy who served and a guy who dedicated most of his adult life to the service.
Marines can call themselves anything they want, just don’t let them any where near crayon’s. Marines will be Marines!
I have had Marines tell me both are appropriate. But I do believe your term is preferred so I sit corrected.
LOL
Thanks for bringing this up. I wonder when someone is going to get this into the Syllabus of Journalism Terms so that at least the headline writers can get it right for a change. They like “ex-Marine” because it is four letters and a space shorter, correct or not.
Once you have successfully emerged from boot camp, you have earned the title of "Marine". Forever.
