Baby faced Beto tripled and quadrupled down on this early Friday morning while appearing on MSNBC, saying that turning in guns would be mandatory. His plan largely depends on people voluntarily complying with new laws. When pressed about people who wont just hand em over, Beto explains Im going to work with police chiefs, with sheriffs, with law enforcement to make sure we implement this in the most effective way possible. Beto then clarifies No, its not voluntary. I want to make sure that we make the distinction here. It is mandatory. It will be the law. You will be required to comply with the law, before going on to compare his efforts to the plight of the civil rights movement in the 50s and 60s.
I don’t know much about Canadian politics.
I just hope that Americans are smart enough to see through this pandering, self-absorbed, idiot Irish kid.
(No offense intended to sensible Irish folks.)
Wu’s pigs are hungry for some Irish-Mexican takeout...
Where do these TOTALITARIANS come from?
bkmk
If you're a gun owner and/or a patriot, it's definitely a "must read"...
If he keeps saying things like this, he’ll get Arkancided - for the good of The Party.
Ping
I think he comes across like a school kid, full of pubescent ego, perpetually running for class president.
Everyone knows the type.
The tree of liberty needs pruned from time to time.
Like.
it is nice to know the obvious is true. At least it is out of the open. Now gun owners, such as myself, can focus on the Democratic party “hidden” agenda.
An AK in 7.62 is a reliable weapon. Easy to field strip and clean. Thats why it is so popular in 3rd world countries
With pleasure. That’s why I post them, hoping they’ll be shared.
I agree with your points except this one. The government especially the Democrats have violated the Constitution repeatedly without bothering to change it.
Thanks it is now on my Facebook page.
Granted the democRATS will try anything they can to win and/or retain power.
But if this Beto character or any of the other candidates for that matter, wins and tries to confiscate our guns with a mandatory buyback plan, two things will happen.
First, people with guns won't comply. Or there is always a few who will but very few. Americans love their guns and they won't just turn them in without some force being applied by the government. Massive civil disobedience will follow. There will be some blood spilled. It will get nasty.
And two, the NRA or some group or individual(s) will take the scheme to court because it violates the 2nd Amendment. Americans have rights that just can't be trampled on without them fighting back. Too many gun owners are itching for a fight and will relish fighting back with their guns.
Which, ironically, is the very reason the Founding Fathers put the 2nd Amendment in the Bill of Rights in the Constitution. To fight off and defend ourselves from the tyranny of an oppressive government.
So maybe the democRATS will try to confiscate our guns, but it will blowup in their faces. They are not very bright when it comes to reality because they live in their own fantasy world.
If it bleeds, it leads. All journalists know full well that they are systematically on the lookout for bad news and negativity about society. Death: Reality vs. Reported illustrates the point very nicely. In 2016 the three biggest causes of death in America were Heart Disease (30.2%), Cancer (29.5%), and Road, Falls, and Accidents (7.6%). Deaths in those categories do not reflect particularly poorly on society. But the three leading cause of stories about death - by prominence in The New York Times and The Guardian - were Terrorism (>33%), Homicide (>22%), and Suicide (>10.6%). Even though they represent less than 3% (<0.01%, 0.9%, and 1.8%, respectively) of actual deaths in 2016, Deaths in those categories get almost 2/3 of the coverage.
The reason is that those deaths do reflect the society in which they occur. And, not coincidentally, they suggest the need for government action. The perspective of journalism is that societys failings are important - and that journalists are the ones to identify those failings - and to guide the necessary government correctives.
A century ago, liberalism was the word for the perspective now called conservative. Since those who had motive and opportunity (that would be journalists, for those of you keeping score) essentially inverted the meaning of the word (in the 1920s), liberal has, de facto but, implausibly, denyedly, meant nothing other than in accord with the perspective of journalism. Political liberals simply go along and get along with journalisms egoistic self-regard.
And that is precisely what Beto is doing with his anti-society anti-gun rhetoric. Neither more nor less.
