I just noticed a new privacy annoyance from Microsoft. After a recent reboot it showed me a "timeline" of websites I visited from this and other computers I own.
Is this something new? And why does Microsoft continue to set the default privacy to "unzip my fly and wave it in the wind"? I had to search the web and then go in and crank up my privacy settings yet again.

The only thing that is new about that is how it is displaying your browsing history. It’s been tracking that for decades.

They will continue to do this as they want to “close the marketing loop” for their ad customers.
When you search a product at work and then switch to your mobile and look through the site on the way home and then purchase that product from your home pc... they want to be able to track that.
